In our world of sin, death, abortions, murder, cancer, DNA mutations, drunkenness, rape, and peoples incessant selfish desires and ways, God remains who he says he is, and without him all the suffering we experience would have no meaning. Whatever that has happened to you, what unspeakable pain you have to survive and navigate through, do not blame God or be angry with him, because without God to work these heart wrenching pains out, they become purposeless. We cry out, we blame, we get angry and frustrated at the unfairness of life. What do we do with what has happened to us, to the pain, the unfairness that has wrecked our life? How do we respond? Whether it’s loss through death, or a loss by betrayal, or a person giving up on you, or themselves, leaving you alone, what do we do? What does anyone do when their world collapses? The loss of a child, perhaps through a miscarriage, or at a young age due to an accident, or medical complications, or loss of a spouse, especially when it happens so early in the marriage, or during a time when the children are beginning to blossom, or a parent (especially when it happens unexpectedly), we will all experience these times that cause us to question life itself and the existence of God.
